  1. thank you so much! it is really helpful..I know the effect of too much salt intake but didn`t expect there are many side effects for..Wish I could control mine…

  2. I never use additional salt. But 90 to 95 percent of what I eat probably comes with enough salt. I only eat one time a day.

  3. I cant imagine my food without salt. Its not so delicious ://. I also dont like fruits and vegetables. Even if i stop the salt and eat much fruits and vegetables it will not be sure will I be healthy for sure. So I dont care and I live my way

  4. I have some questions:
    1) What are the symptoms for not enough salt?
    2) How do Sodium, Potassium, Magnesium, and Calcium interact with each other?
    3) How do you know if you have too much or too little of Magnesium, Calcium, or Potassium ?

  5. You can have cramps and even swelling without eating too much salt, but If agree if you have those medical conditions that cause these symptoms you should cut down on salt, especially if your medical problems are related to your circulation, because excess salt will make things worse.
However in hot climates you must not totally avoid salt because like fluids you need it too survive in extreme temperatures.

  6. You ever heard of the sodium-potassium pump? the way we cramp up from excsees sweat and loss of salt? NOT FROM having too much but too little salt. God half the facts in these videos are bs. Seriously Just google it you uneducated neanderthals.

  7. I know an elderly lady who was so afraid to eat salt because she was told that salt wasn't healthy that she died from a lack of salt!

  8. Love ur Broccoli playing the carrot guitar. CUTE>>>thanks[too much salt soaks up the saliva in my mouth & makes me choke I have taped ALL the holes on the inside of my salt shaker except for two done this for years]Do NOT salt ur meat BEFORE cooking it soaks up the delicious juices]I use "STEVIA" instead of sugar for 5 years & have lost weight]

  9. If you are always thirsty, then you are deleted on salt
Human body have no way to express that you need salt
You are either hungry or thirsty, when you need salt.
Kidneys will excret any surplus, unless you consume too much carbohydrates and have to high level of insulin
Insulin will cause kidney to retain salt

  10. What piece of unscientific data
Salt is exactly 50% sodium and 50% chloride
The weight of sodium is different to weight of chloride, but still amount of atoms of sodium and chloride are exactly equal in salt

  11. Apricots are NOT good source of potassium
    Simple rule of thumb
You want to replenish potassium – so not consume anything what depletes potassium
    Carbohydrates deplete potassium.
Banana and apricot will actually make matters worse, even though it have more pain then avocado

  12. High blood pressure and salt intake?
Yes there is correlation, even causation, but
    It is inverse
The less salt the higher blood pressure
You are supposed to keep your body at 0.9% alt in body fluids. Not less, not more. Your kidneys will keep salt at this level, if you will not interfere with this process. So drink water and don't consume too much carbohydrates.

  13. High blood pressure is NOT sickness and leads to exactly nothing
High blood pressure is indicator that something is wrong in body and actually cause of high blood pressure leads to problems

  14. That's funny you gave effects of to high level carbohydrates exposure.
None of those are actually effects of to much salt.

  15. Minimal amount for healthy body is 3000mg sodium a day.
Optimal amount is between 3g and 5g of sodium a day. Anything more leads to sickness. Anything less leads to sickness and it is very fast process.

  16. Any of y'all eating something salty while watching?
Currently eating medium size fries from mickey ds and a bic mac lol. Mmm mmm

  17. XD my body is salt i had sooo much salt on my food like a whole box every 2 weeks it will be gone but now i stopped im very surprised i havent got high blood pressure and most of these on the list but just swelling thighs

  18. you also have to add into this video that a lot of these markers are for hypothyroid too, not just to much salt. you can be eating with no salt in your diet because you're cooking at home all the time, and still have theses signs. so, it's not always salt that causes these. see DR if you have any of these signs.

  19. 1) cramps are a sign of not taking enough salt, contrary your assertion. Ask any athlete who has suffered a hamstring.

    2) the topic of salt is controversial. Some doctors say that lack of salt has led to conditions such as Alzheimer's and Dementia as well as poor locomotion and nerve damage because the blood does not have enough electrolytes to produce the electricity the body needs, just like batteries. They state that it is the iodized table salt-which contains glass that cuts the arteries- that is the problem. Unrefined sea salt should be fine.

  20. A few Words inspired by Salt – Salute, salary, salad, sailor, sauce, sausage, sauced, saucer
Used to be taken as payment in tuff times. A few sayings “Worth his weight in salt” “salt of the earth”
“Take it with a grain of salt” “why rub salt in the wound”…

  21. Natural salt is perfectly fine. Commercial salt isn't. Commercial salt has glass in it. The glass runs through your veins cutting you, your body repairs said cuts with cholesterol. This happens over and over, then they tell us we have too much cholesterol.

  22. I like potatos with salt! Anything else is normally alright unless I feel like I want it. And of course water is my favorite thing to drink.

  23. All of these things can be fixed by lowering your baseline insulin levels. Salt has nothing to do with it.

Your body can cope with and process "too much" salt far more easily than it can cope with too little salt. Those recommended salt intake levels are so low they are deadly. Eat more salt!

Cut the carbs and sugars, fast, and eat all the salt that tastes good.

  24. Also, a glucometer doesn't tell you if you have diabetes. It only tells you your blood sugar. Diabetes is insulin resistance, not high blood sugar. You can have good blood sugar and still be diabetic, because your insanely high insulin levels are still keeping your blood sugar in check. By the time you have high blood sugar, you are already in advanced stages of diabetes and have already done tremendous damage. Check your fasting and post-meal INSULIN levels – not blood sugar levels – to determine if you're diabetic.

  25. Also, quit eating table salt. Eat sea salt. Table salt is raw sodium chloride, but we don't find raw sodium chloride in nature. In nature, we find SALT, and salt crystals are only 67% sodium chloride, with the other 33% being 80-something trace minerals. Per unit of weight, sea salt has LESS sodium chloride than table salt, and it has dozens of other minerals that your body needs, and in the proportions that your body needs them in.

  26. Salt used to contain iodide allegedly for the peak functiong of your thyroid. Interestingly when they removed this the whole world got obese

  27. #3 WRONG. Salt does NOT cause high blood pressure. It's been proven several times. Salt (sodium Chloride) creates Hydrochloric Acid (stomach acid). Heartburn is caused by not enough stomach acid. NOT too much acid. Salt your food to taste and you'll be fine.
