An electric Renault with 300 km range | Kangoo Z.E.-H2 test-drive

The greatest problem of electric vehicles is the limited range. But solutions are available. One of them is the hybrid solution: an I.C.E. associated to an electric motor. In this case we have an hybrid vehicle, which can be a mild hybrid or a full hybrid. When that powertrain gets bigger batteries and the ability to be externally charged… We have a Plug-in Hybrid. What I will show you today is an electric vehicle without an I.C. engine… And capable of 300 km of range… Three times the average range of most of today’s EVs. Come on! We are here with Francis. This Renault Kangoo Z.E. has one specificity… It has a fuel-cell… Which allows a total range of 300 km. The driving sensations are exactly the same as a regular EV. It is a kind of a Plug-in Hybrid vehicle… With a Fuel-cell range-extender. We can fill-up the Hydrogen tank… In two or three minutes… The same time that it takes to fill-up a Diesel tank.
