and maybe see how nice you really are? Mr. Nice Guy: Uh…Okay. Great! Here is one: “You shall not lie.” Mr. Nice Guy, have you ever told a lie? Mr. Nice Guy: Well, yeah. Who has not? What do you call somebody who tells lies? Mr. Nice Guy: A liar. Alright. How about another commandment? “You shall not steal.” Have you ever stolen anything, even once? Mr. Nice Guy: Nope! But… you just told me you are a liar. Mr. Nice Guy: Well, I did steal some candy once
when I was a kid. And what do you call someone who steals? Mr. Nice Guy: A thief. Alright. Let us try another one. “You shall not commit adultery.” Oh, that is easy. I would never cheat on my wife. [Music] Woman: Hi handsome. Mr. Nice Guy: Oh baby! [Narrator clears throat] Jesus said if you even look at a woman with lust, you have already committed adultery with her in your heart. Mr. Nice Guy: Oh…um, right. One more. “You shall not take the name of the LORD
your God in vain.” Have you ever used God’s name to curse? [Car crashes] Mr. Nice Guy: Oh my (beep)! That, Mr. Nice Guy is called blasphemy. God gave you life and breath and everything you have! And you have dragged His name through the dirt. So, by your own admission… …you are a liar, a thief, a blasphemer, and an adulterer at heart. And that is just four of the Ten Commandments. Mr. Nice Guy: Okay okay, so I am not perfect. Actually, it is worse than that. Suppose we could put a chip in your brain
that would record all your private thoughts for an entire week and then play
those thoughts on a giant movie screen for all your friends and family to see. [Woman faints] Mr. Nice Guy: That would be embarrassing! Yeah, I know. The Bible says God knows everything,
even the secret thoughts of your heart. Mr. Nice Guy: Well… [Scribbles on chalk board] …compared to some people I am a saint. [Heavenly choir sings] That is true. But the standard is
God’s law, not other people. [Chalkboard crashes] [Light bulb fails] Besides, even if you sinned just five times a day in one year… that is one thousand eight hundred and twenty-five (1825) sins. And if you live to be seventy years old… …you will have broken God’s law over one hundred and twenty-seven thousand (127000) times! You will have to answer for every sin
on Judgement Day, when the Bible says, “Each of us will give
an account of himself to God (Romans 14:12).” [Mr. Nice Guy gulps] Mr. Nice Guy: But… God will forgive me. Right? Well, let us try that in court. Criminal: I know I keep breaking the law, but
can you, you know, let it slide? Only a corrupt judge would buy (do) that. A GOOD judge would say… [Slams his gavel] Good Judge: Justice demands
that you pay for your crimes. [Criminal gulps] God is not a corrupt judge. He is a holy, righteous judge. He hates sin! Jesus warned that on Judgement Day, everyone who had sinned against God will justly end up in a terrible place called Hell. [People screaming] And there will be no escape for all eternity. Mr. Nice Guy: Well, then, how can ANYBODY get to Heaven? There is only one way. God loved the world so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to live a perfect life. He never sinned, not even once. Then, Jesus offered to take
the punishment for guilty sinners. He was whipped, and beaten… …and nailed to a cross, and died. so that justice would be served
and sinners could go free! Then, Jesus rose from the grave and defeated death! You can not earn eternal life. It is God’s gift… …to everyone who will humble themselves
and come to Jesus. He will forgive you, [Shackles fall] wash you clean, and give you a new heart with new desires The Bible says, “…if anyone is in Christ, he
is a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17).” So stop living for yourself. Turn from your sins and come to Jesus. Then, read your Bible and obey it. Find a good church to help you grow. And then go out and tell

  1. I am a good person. I don't smoke or drink (I once drank when I was 12 years old, but it was only a one time thing) or curse or do drugs (I did drugs when I was 17 years old and it made me sick at 20 years old) or kill people. I never killed anybody, well, except for bugs. And people have told me that I'm sneaky. And I always reply with, "I've been called worse."

  2. How ignorant we are of the danger of this universal sickness called, "Sin". And how only Jesus Christ offers a way out of it. Our slavery to that fallen carnal nature. We have to educate children on "Moral Science". No one has to teach a child how to lie. No one has to teach a child how to steal or be angry or lustful. Its natural and inherent in every human being's mind once they're born in the flesh. We are a slave to that carnal animalistic instinct deep inside. What is born in the flesh is spiritually dead.

    Romans 8:7 says ," The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so".

    But once you are born again in the Spirit, you are conscious of sin and there is a wrestling of the old and new self within the recesses of the mind. The gospel is of continual repentance. It is about denying ourself and living in complete submission to what the Word Of God speaks.

  4. I find it ridiculous that this man in the video will have the same fate after death as Adolf Hitler or Joseph Stalin. It's not "justice". God is unfair and immoral. He acts like a two year old throwing a temper tantrum.

  5. Joe average is still a good person, so even if you are religious, you should never call someone a bad person who should go to hell, just because they have made mistakes before!!

  6. A simple lapse in judgment, saying even the most trivial lie, "Ah, your dress isn't that bad, sweetie," will be enough to land you in the fire slammer of hell for the rest of eternity. Being attracted to how someone looks (if you're married) is enough to land you in the fire slammer. Stealing as a kid: it truly isn't right, but your punishment for it will last FOREVER, not even mentioning the fact that as kids, most people have questionable control over their actions. Oh, and simply saying God is pretty bad so don't do that. God is a righteous judge who hates sin, so obviously torturing you forever is acceptable. The narrator then goes on, however, to discredit this statement by saying that believing in God (or "following Jesus") will give you the eternal afterlife — so what is it? Is living a life free of sin the important part, or is it believing in God the important part?

  7. There is no reason for me to believe in any story that just was made up. Nobody can prove that a guy named Jesus is what the Bible is saying he is. But if you want a placebo that is working and your gullable, then I guess it works in an energetic way. I believe in what I experience to be real, not because someone explained in a youtube video that Jesus is this or that. If only it was that easy.

  9. Following some laws set out by a bunch of old men 2000 or so years ago is VERY, VERY different from being a good person. Being a good person is about doing what's right – without witness, without hope and without reward. I am atheist and I could probably only name a couple of the Ten Commandments off the top of my head, but I like to think I'm a good person and I'm sure a lot of people would back me up on that (hopefully). It doesn't matter what religion you are or who you worship or what race you are or what gender you're attracted to – all that matters is that you always try to nice, but never, NEVER, fail to be kind.

  10. When Ray Comfort goes on his mission he asks these same 4 questions: "Have you ever lied?" "Have you ever stolen something?", "Have you ever looked with lust?".
    To tell Ray the truth, if a person answers "yes" to just only one of the above then the sin questioning stops right there. Because just one sin is enough to get you into trouble with God (James 2:10). Everybody has broken at least one of these ten commandments.

  14. I think religion was an attempt to create a worldwide set of laws/natural human rights, with an end goal of controlling masses, but that it's been executed in a crappy manner with poor diplomacy.

  15. I feel like religion is for those who don't feel strong enough to be a decent human out of their own accords. And also that it's highly abused by people doing somewhat bad things to feel less guilty, and convince themselves they're better than they may actually be.

  16. This video is basically saying that every child that dies as a child goes to Hell. Every child steals, lies, and lusts. Lust is actually very natural. Nothing we can do to change that, but it's what you do with that lust that makes the difference. If you choose not to act on it, you're ok. If you choose to act on it, then you're in the wrong if you're already in a committed relationship with someone else.

  17. I am amazed at how many people actually thank me for telling them the Gospel message, the bad news, then the good news. Many say they have never heard this before. I have always expected people to get angry at me or to start arguing with me, but that actually only happens occasionally. In heaven, it will be realized how many were touched by the Gospel message. We will never all of those know who responded to this message until we are on the other side.

  18. You won't go to heaven by being a good person. Jesus tells us this clearly " I am the way the truth and the life no one comes to the father but by me" the scriptures also tells us " if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth ( Jesus) is not in us.

  19. Being a good person isn't based off of religion, this "come to jesus" stuff is a bit ridiculous if I say so myself.
    I am not belittling or insulting religion, but religion does not define what a good person is vs a bad person.
    A good person is someone that has compassion for others, and shows the good things while keeping the bad things to themselves. A good person does good things even at the cost of their benefit in exchange for the leisure of others, this can be shown through something simple; like giving up your seat on the bus for another person. A good person is not dependent on whether you believe in jesus/god, that's just stupid.

  20. Really just a religious video, whether or not you're a good person doesn't just stem from what some guy wrote four thousand years ago or something like that. I mean for all we know a guy just wanted to write a really good really long novel, but then everyone thought it was a chronicle and that would mean we're worshiping a figment of some guy's imagination. Anyway back to what I was originally here about, calling someone a bad person because they don't worship god is the same mindset Hitler himself had. "If you don't believe me, then you will pay." Only difference is that you're patient enough to let some possibly fictional being do the dirty work. How about rather than forcing a religion down someone's throat by threatening them with eternal damnation you hook us on the story within the bible instead. Which, whether chronicle or novel, started the whole religion in the first place. I have no problem with the religion itself, but when someone of any stature, race, religion, sex, or ideology tells me to "join us or go to hell" directly or in the most elaborate way possible it certainly doesn't make me want to have anything to do with them.

    If it is, the Jesus is the reason why He died for you so you don't have to go there.

    Say, "Yes!" to Jesus and invite Him into your heart, to be Lord and Savior of your life.

  22. The only difference between a decent nice guy, and a wicked person, is that should they both repent and come to Jesus, the nice guy will have fewer messes to clean up in his life. And fewer bad consequences to deal with.

  23. I have a serious question. This video says (4:36) to 1)turn from your sin and 2) come to Jesus. Aren’t we supposed to come to Jesus just as we are and Then His spirit will work in us, we become new creation and Holy Spirit will convict us and begin the long process of sanctification (‘be ye holy as I am holy’)?
    My concern is that people viewing this might get the impression that they need to turn away from all their sins before they can come to the Lord Jesus. This could be discouraging? Getting all sin out of ones heart and life can be quite a long process! God bless Ray and his team, they are such a blessing to the Body and I learn so much from him. Truly gifted by God with evangelistic skill and tremendous heart for people and Christ. God bless you all!!

  24. Anyone here that is a Christian women and has posted a comment is in violation of God's law. Women are to be silent and submissive in a place of assembly. A woman standing up to a man about anything is breaking God's law keep that in mind religious ladies. So if I don't do as y'all say I'm going to suffer for it. Sounds exactly like something a terrorist would say. Remember ladies don't be breaking God's law anymore. So if I rape an unmarried women my punishment is I have to marry her and can never divorce her even if she can't get me sons. Sorry ladies gods law, what can a lowly man do about that? Why any women is part of the Abrahamic religions blows my mind.

    Well, there are 613 commandments in the old testament, handed down by god at various parts of the old testament. The old testament ( in Exodus 34:14-28) calls one group of them the 10 commandments.

    According to what the Bible itself says, THESE are the 10 commandments:

    1) Thou shalt worship no other god.

    2) Thou shalt make thee no molten gods.

    3) The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep.

    4) Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day rest.

    5) Thou shalt observe the feast of weeks.

    6) Thrice in the year shall all your men children appear before the Lord God.

    7) Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven.

    8) Neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left until the morning.

    9) The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the house of the Lord thy God.

    10) Thou shalt not seeth a kid in his mother's milk.

    Exodus 34:28 And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

  27. I'm Not a religious person, but if God created everything wouldn't that technically mean he created "sin" too? If so would he really judge us if he knows exactly how we feel and the reason why we feel that way? Seems kinda strange to me O_o

  28. Atheists keep accusing Christians of being self-righteous. In actuality, it is they who are. A true Christian never say he/she is righteous. He/she would admit he/she is a sinner. I remember the ANGRY ATHEIST who openly admitted he told many lies in his life and he says to Ray, THEN HOW DARE YOU CALL ME A LIAR? If that is not self righteous, i do not know what it is.

  29. Another one of the many reasons why I’m not religious. Way too many contradicting rules, & not enough people following them to the tee. Yet people still feel the need to act all “hollier than thou” cause they go to church every Sunday, & pray for forgiveness every night. My family is a perfect example of this video.

  31. Atheists accuse Christians of being self righteous but it is the other way around. Why? Because Christians don't make their own standard of good. It is the atheists who make their own standard. A Christian is bound to an objective standard that he/she most of the time violates because of being she sinner. Most of the time, atheists don't admit being sinners unlike the Christians so how come Christians are self righteous?
