Hey guys, what’s up, welcome back to my channel if you’re new here welcome. My name is Caitlyn and in today’s video I’m gonna be showing you guys how I went from looking like this To Nana looking like this. So I’m really excited. I lost 50 pounds Well, 47 pounds roughly 50 pounds and I just want to share how I lost with you guys So I don’t want to make this a super long intro So let’s just get into the video If you’re not already subscribed to my channel, I would love it if you could subscribe to my channel. It really helped me out So go ahead and subscribe. And with that being said, let’s get into the video. So just a little disclaimer I’m not a professional. This is just what it works for me But clearly I was doing something right if I lost all the weight, so I want to share that with you guys today So the first thing that I started to do was intermittent fast And for those of you guys who don’t know what intermittent fasting is it’s basically when you don’t eat for a certain period of time throughout the day a lot of people like to Fast for 16 hours and then eat for 8 hours and you can really eat whatever you want But basically when you’re in this fasting period you’re giving your body time to adjust To the food that you ate and it’s also helping your body release fat burning hormones which helps in weight loss So you’re really doing nothing different except eating at a different time. So you actually end up eating less calories You’re giving your body more time to digest the food and if you guys have any more questions about it I can make another video on it. Leave me some comments down below You guys want to hear more about it, but that’s basically what intermittent fasting is and moving on The next thing that I did was I started to drink more water. I was really bad with drinking water like terrible I drank all of my calories and coke and I’ll jump between the sodas and juices and Sugary coffees and whatever I had to stop doing that because my body was holding on to a whole bunch of water weight so what I did was I got a stainless steel water bottle and I like these water bottles the best because I think that It makes my water taste better So just play around with different things to make you drink more water and make it more fun for you but once you start drinking water and you start cutting out those Sugary drinks and things you’re gonna see how many calories that you were actually drinking and you’re gonna just see the weight loss Without even really trying when I cut out soda, I still drink some soda now, but when I cut out so it in the beginning Oh my gosh, there was a huge drastic change because I was drinking more water So get you some water and get you a good water bottle and do what works for you Another thing that I did was I cut down my portion sizes on my food now Although you can eat whatever you want when you’re intermittent fasting. I Decided to cut my portions down because I was realizing that even though I was intermittent fasting I was still eating too much like way more than I need it to be like let’s say for example I would go through the drive-through, whatever and I would order a large meal. Do I really need that large meal? No, probably not so over time I ended up only tapering down to ordering a small meal or ordering a kid’s meal just finding different ways to Not eat as much because my body did not need all of that food. Now in the beginning I was like kind of hungry I was like, okay, like I only got this small meal like I’m still gonna be hungry But your body’s going to adjust to it. It’s gonna take some time you’ll get used to it, but you’ll be fine It will be okay so Just give your body time and also know that you might not be as hungry as you think that you are you might just be Thirsty, so try drinking some water Another thing that I started to do that worked for me was I started to switch out different foods now Like I said, you can eat whatever you want But I just want to make some healthier choices where I could so let’s say I was eating whole-wheat bread So I switched to whole-grain bread even I was going to Starbucks every day ordering the sugary oz drink ever in the world Can I get it grande iced upside-down caramel macchiato with extra caramel please and I switched to getting an espresso and using almond milk in my coffee instead and just Making healthier options starting with the little things not completely cutting things out because that’s not realistic for me whatsoever So I had to just try to make healthier Options and incorporate different things into what I was eating to make it so I wasn’t missing out but I could still in Enjoy those things So just find different areas and like a food that you can swap out and just see what works for you and find just healthier Alternatives that’s another tip that I have for you guys is just define little changes in your diet that you can swap out different things and the last thing that I started to do and this wasn’t until The end of my weight loss journey was I started to find a sport for me? I found yoga You can find whatever works for you. I’m not gonna sit here and tell you to go to the gym because that’s not realistic I’m not going to go to the gym and run on the treadmill for like 45 minutes so find a sport Maybe you like to do I don’t know Pilates you like to do cycling you like to do Whatever, but go out try different things try Groupon try working out at home doing whatever is gonna make you happy and find something that you’re gonna stick with because if you don’t stick with It you’re not going to see any results. So you want to find something that is fun for you. I love yoga I don’t know what my life would be without yoga right now. It’s literally my passion so find us work That’s fun for you. Make it intentional just be like, okay Well my workout for the day is gonna be like mowing the lawn outside I’m something that’s actually you set out time to do it, you know don’t make it a chore. That’s not fun Just get active and get moving. I know it sounds so corny and so cheesy, but I promise it actually works Like I lost my last 15 pounds doing yoga and I got toned doing yoga So lastly, I just wanna let you guys know that this is a journey it’s gonna take time. You didn’t gain the weight overnight It’s going to take some time. There’s no quick fix. Trust me I’ve tried all the diets out there and I was lose all the weight and then get it right back lose it and then sometimes even gain more so find something that is going to work for you and Stick with it because these quick fix diets aren’t and not going to work. I tried Jenny Craig I tried Nutrisystem tried the all the diets you can imagine like the lemonade too high at all these Cleanses and whatever just find a sport to do some intermittent fasting If you guys have any more questions, let me know down in the comments below.
