How To Make A Cheap Homemade Fly Trap With A Two Liter

Hello youtube. Today I’m gonna be making myself a
homemade flytrap out of an empty two liter bottle – got a glue
gun, some scissors, and some bait. Every fly loves hamburger! Also I got a drill here, to drill a hole in the cap. There we go. You wanna cut the top off the bottleThere we go, and very important put your bait in there before you go sealing the top on there.
If you don’t have you have a hot glue gun a roll of duct tape or electrical tape should
work just fine but since I got this I’m gonna go ahead and use it. Okay it’s finished. Not much to it, takes about two minutes
and you know again you don’t have to use the hot glue you can use tape. You just want to seal it up so they can’t get back out so the idea is there gonna fly down in
through the little hole there and with their flight patterns they
shouldn’t be able to fly back outta there they should become trapped inside there. I’m gonna put one last finishing touch on it and this has absolutely nothing to do
with catching the flies just my own personal finishing touch and that is a picture of Admiral Akbar to go on there. Why? Because it’s a trap! So let’s see what we catch. And we’re back. I’ve had this sitting outside
about two hours, and I’ve caught 1234 5678 flies so that’s four flies an hour or a fly every 15
minutes, so not too bad. Zoom in here and, get you a good look at them. So that’s eight less flies that’ll be buzzing around and messing with my barbecue. So this is a quick and easy fly trap you can make with just a two liter, a pair of scissors, hot
glue, and some tape and drill a hole in the lid and they’re not
flying back out of there. Hope you enjoyed the video hope it helps and thanks for watching. It’s a trap! It’s a trap!

  1. How big does the hole have to be because I don't have a drill. I'm guessing the size of a pencil eraser but… just wanna make sure.

  2. put a cup of water in their, also good fly bait, you can get it in wal-mart the stink bait, for catfish, great vid

  3. This is a great idea but now I just use this product to get rid of flies at home, and im surprised coz it works with different kinds of flies!. I would like to try this one out too. Thanks

  4. I think it is overly complicated. I accidentally found out there is a much easier way to trap flies. Almost no preparation, everything is ready to go.

  5. WARNING! I made this trap. It did catch a few flies but nothing substantial, and yes it smelled terrible! The problem is, it attracts more than flies. This attracted a raccoon to my suburban yard within a couple days of putting this out, which led it to my chicken yard and it killed half my flock of chickens. DO NOT USE THIS if you keep chickens, ducks or any other defenseless animal, it will cause you more problems!

  6. If you don't have a drill you don't have to put a hole in the cap. Just cover the lid with a paper or a tissue and make hole on it

  7. I have steers and there are thousands (not sarcastic) of flys in there every morning so I think I will try this

  8. made one exactly how demonstrated in video. it's been outside on my frontpourch for two days. not one fly in it

  9. There are thousand of videos on youtube that are useless . If I have to put a video on youtube about cooking recipe I would use weight measurements instead of spoons . Let me explain, a tablespoon of sugar can vary depends of the user, one person might use more other use less, but using a scale will never vary. This video is helpful however it's missing an important information. What is the diameter of the drill bit? If the hole is too big the flies will come out, if too small they wont come in.

  10. My mom and dad pay me 20 cents every 5 flys I kill Ive made 10 bucks in a 8 days from this but now I can't use it because I make to much

  11. This product killed the flies in my house!
