Hi, I’m George, meter reader from npower
and I’m going to help you read your meter. OK – does your meter look a bit like one of these? If not, don’t worry, one of our other videos
probably covers it. I’ll take you through the single rate
meter first. Simply write down the numbers as you read
them from left to right. Include the zeros at the start, but we don’t
need the red numbers – or any numbers that come after the decimal point. And that’s
it. Here, this one says: 63287 Now, let’s look at the other meter. This one’s called a Two Rate meter because
there are two readings, peak and off peak. The two dials will either be labelled low
and normal, or night and day. Simply write down the numbers as you read
them from left to right. Include the zeros at the start but we don’t need the red numbers or any numbers that come after the decimal point. Now this bit’s really important.
Make sure you take your reading between 7am and midnight. Enter the low or night reading in the first
box and the normal or day reading in the second box. And that’s it. Here, the low or night reading is 47428 And the normal or day reading is 06019 We hope you found this video helpful. Perhaps
you could take a moment to let us know what you think? And we look forward to receiving
your meter reading.
