>>>THERE HASN’T BEEN A SHARK
THRILLER THIS BUZZED ABOUT SINCE “JAWS.”
THE NEW THRILLER, “47 METERS DOWN” PLAYS MANDY MOORE AND
CLAIRE HOLT. >>THEY GO IN AN UNDERWATER CAGE
TO GET UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL WITH SHARKS.
WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG. >>IT’S SO COOL.
I COULD STAY DOWN HERE FOREVER. >>HEY, WHEN LISA’S DONE, CAN WE
GO DOWN AGAIN? >>HEY, NO.
>>GET IT. >>WE’RE SINKING.
HELP US, GUYS.
WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE. >>WHOA.
>>THAT’S S SO GOOD. >>GOOD MORNING, GIRLS.
>>NICE TO HAVE YOU HERE. THIS IS EVERYONE’S NIGHTMARE,
WHEN YOU THINK, WOULD I SWIM WITH SHARKS?
AND IT HAPPENED. WHAT WAS — THEN, LIKE THE FACT
THAT IT’S UNDER WATER. WHAT WAS IT LIKE FILMING
SOMETHING WHERE YOU’RE JUST UNDER WATER THE WHOLE TIME?
>>EXHAUSTING. IT WAS A RIGOROUS SHOOT.
AND I THINK MANDY AND I HAD NO IDEA WHAT WE HAD GOTTEN
OURSELVES INTO. BUT BY THE END OF IT, WE HAD A
REAL AFFINITY FOR THE WATER, I THINK.
AND WE GOT USED TO IT AND LOVED IT.
BUT IT WASAS TOUGH. IT WAS REALLY TOUGH.
>>90% OF THIS MOVIE TAKES PLACE UNDER WATER.
THAT WAS COMPELLING TO US AS ACTORS, THE PHYSICAL AND
EMOTIONAL CHALLENGE OF SHOOTING UNDER WATER.
AS MUCH AS IT IS ABOUT SHARKS, IT’S A STORY OF SURVIVAL.
AND TO ME, THE SCARIER PREMISE IS BEING TRAPPED AT THE BOTTOM
OF THE MOTION, WITH A LIMITED AMOUNT OF AIR.
IT’S THIS RACE AGAINST THE CLOCK.
>>DID YOU HAVE SCUBA EXPERIENCE BEFORE YOU DID THIS?
>>NO. >>WE HAD A CRASH COURSE.
>>AN AFTERNOON IN A SWIMMING POOL IN LOS ANGELES.
WE DID TWO OPEN-WATER DIVES. WE WERE ON OUR WAY TO SHOOT THE
FILM. >>THIS MOVIE, IT IS ABSOLUTELY
FANTASTIC. “MY BEST FRIEND’S WEDDING,”
“NOTING HILL,” AND THIS IS RIGHT UP THERE WITH IT.
LET ME TELL YOU WHY. TWO SISTERS ON VACATION.
ONE IS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH HER MARRIAGE OR WHATEVER.
YOU CAN RELATE TO IT. BUT YOU HOLD THIS MOVIE ON YOUR
OWN. YOU MAKE THIS HAPPEN, RIGHT.
THEN, HOW WOULD I HANDLE IT? IF I WAS UNDER WATER LIKE THAT.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO? COMPLETELY OUT OF CONTROL.
ALL THESE EXTENUATING FACTORS AND CIRCUMSTANCES, LAYER UPON
LAYER OF PROBLEM AFTER PROBLEM. WE’RE TRAPPED AT THE BOTTOM OF
THE OCEAN. WE HAVE AN HOUR’S WORTH OF AIR.
>>WE THINK WE KNOW WHERE THE MOVIE IS GOING TO GO.
>>WE’RE NOT SURE. >>YOU’RE FILMING, HOW OFTEN
WOULD YOU COME UP — YOU KNOW, WHILE YOU’RE — TO CHANGE AIR
TANKS AND STUFF. >>WE WOULD GO DOWN WITH AN
ENTIRE TANK. AND WE WOULD SURFACE AGAIN WHEN
THE TANK WAS ALMOST FINISHED. >>ABOUT 30, 40 MINUTES.
>>AN HOUR, HOUR AND A HALF, DEPENDING HOW MUCH YOU’RE
EXERTING OURSELVES IN THE WATER.
FOUR TO FIVE OXYGEN TANKS. SEVEN WEEKS UNDER WATER.
>>DID YOU HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT DECOMPRESSION AND ALL THAT
STUFF? >>YES.
>>BECAUSE A MOVIE HAD NEVER BEEN DONE WITH ACTORS SPENT SO
MUCH TIME CONSECUTIVE UNDER WATER, THEY DIDN’T KNOW WHAT THE
AFFECTS WOULD BE. >>THAT’S CRAZY.
I SCUBA DIVE AND I WOULD NEVER DO ANYTHING LIKE THAT.
>>WE WERE ALSO IN A TANK. WE WERE ONLY ABOUT 20 FEET UNDER
WATER. NOT LIKE WE WERE SHOOTING —
>>DIDN’T LOOK LIKE IT. >>IT’S BELIEVABLE.
WHEN PEOPLE GO ON TRIPS, YOU DO THAT.
YOU GET IN A CAGE. YOU’LL ONLY BE DOWN FOR A FEW
MINUTES. YOU GET TO SEE NATURE UNDER
WATER AND YOU COME BACK UP. THIS TAKES A TURN FOR THE WORSE.
>>I HAVE DONE LIVE SHOTS UNDER WATER, TRYING TO TALK IN A SCUBA
TANK. THE MUSCLE CONTROL IN YOUR MOM
STOMACH AND GETTING EVERYTHING
NOT TO SOUND BREATHY. WAS THAT A CHALLENGE?
>>IT WAS A LOT. IT WAS A LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR
THE TWO OF US. WE HAD NEVER — OBVIOUSLY, I HAD
SOME EXPERIENCE IN A TANK. BUT ACTING UNDER WATER IS
DIFFERENT. >>TRYING TO CRY WITH A MASK ON
IS REALLY ODD. YOU CAN’T WIPE YOUR TEARS.
>>YOUR MASK STARTS TO FOG UP. >>DON’T DIE.
BEFORE YOU LEAVE, I FEEL LIKE OUR VIEWERS WOULD ATTACK US, IF
WE DIDN’T ASK YOU, REALLY QUICKLY — “THIS IS US.”
WE’RE GOING TO FIND OUT HOW JACK DIED.
>>WE’RE GOING BACK TO WORK IN ABOUT SIX WEEKS.
AND I’VE BEEN TOLD THAT EARLY ON IN THE SEASON, THERE WILL,
PERHAPS, BE SOME ANSWERS. >>PERHAPS.
>>PERHAPS. >>EXACTLY.
>>GOT EATEN BY A SHARK. >>EXACTLY.
>>HE WAS IN A TANK. WENT UNDER WATER.
AND THEY DIDN’T FIX THE TOP. >>RIGHT.
>>END, SCENE. YOU GUYS ARE GREAT.
>>THANK YOU SO MUCH. “47 METERS DOWN” PREMIEING
FRIDAY, JUNE 16th. A GREAT FATHER’S DAY GIFT.
TAKE YOUR BAD TO SEE

  1. When Mandy saying no film has been underwater for so long while it has been filmed is nonsense-Example The Abyss Cough Cough

  2. Тhis is thе niсеist mоvie i еvеr sеееее!!! I аdvisе еvеrуbоdу tо wаtсh it 🙂 https://twitter.com/88acf5f1fa31266bf/status/859952103766110208

  3. Like how Claire is just gonna pretend she was never a mermaid in a really popular show called H2O back in the day when they asked her about filming underwater. BETCH.

  4. Did they just rename the movie, because when I saw it is thought if did not get the recognition it deserves, really great movie

  5. SPOILER AHEAD!!!

•I disagree when Katie died because when the whole science was hallucinated, it should have been when both hallucinated and discovered that they were taken by coast guards. I mean come on!!!

  6. Yas finally Somthing new than H20 don't get me wrong I love it but I've never seen something else than h20 with Claire in it

  7. 47 Meters Down Movie Available in hd Quality
    Stream Now :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: https://plus.google.com/+EllieSeager/posts/dWwCiYpgNNn

  8. A while ago you could get this movie on dvd at Target under the title of "In The Deep". Then they pulled it from their shelves. The movie was going for a lot of money on amazon and ebay a few months ago but I don't see the movie posted for selling on those sights anymore.

  9. WHAT DOES CLAIR MEAN SHE DOESNT HAVE UNDERWATER FILMING EXPERIENCE SHE PLAYED A MERMAID IN H20 FOR TWO SEASONS LIKE GURL

  10. Other than #PLL I don't think I've heard Claire's American accent and even on #PLL that was a LOOONG time ago.

  11. this movie is almost as good as IN THE DEEP.   oh wait!  its the same movie….    I saw it 2 years ago on  youtube…  go fig!

  12. Cool. I'm sure there's a lot of ADR though. I mean I didn't hear any of the mask pump in the clip they played. You can't tell me they didn't breathe between centences.

  13. Taylor is stupid 🙂 oops sorry. What happened to the cables? Why did he let it loose? hahaha Just gotta find someone to blame because I really wanted Kate to be alive. The ending messed me up but at the back of my mind I knew Lisa was already hallucinating. But I gave it a go because I wanted Kate to be alive badly. Nice movie

  14. Many people didn’t understand the ending of this movie it’s just funny because to understand you have to really listen to the dialogue lol

  15. I actually really enjoyed the movie and thought it was really suspenseful. But spoiler alert

The ending sucked. The fact that they chose to have her hallucinate the swim to safety and have her end up being rescued by the coast guard. I would understand If her character was made to be an annoying and rude person. So the hallucination would make sense as it was punishment. But her character showed nothing be being positive. All I can say is when they get to the boat together right before we get the twist just stop watching the movie. Call that your ending. Otherwise it was a pretty suspenseful film with good acting. I wanted to watch it because Claire holt from TVD and TO was in it. Then they killed her in the movie I mean.

  16. I know I have a black soul but I kinda wish that it would cut to a scene in the end where Kate was lying down (where she was when Mandy was hallucinating) and she was still alive and she was shouting for help but everyone thought she was dead and eventually everyone left her down there and she ran out of air
