The UFO that we are going to see was already analyzed in a previous video, now we will calculate its speed and see that it reaches 3260 km/h (2026 mph). To demonstrate the resolution power of the camera and the method used to calculate the speed, we will first do it with a bird in full flight.
The resolution at which the bird and the UFO are filmed is in 4K at 30 frames per second. We will see and calculate the speed of the bird in full flight. To measure the distance we will use the Google Earth. As we know, to calculate the speed:
speed=distance / time As we saw, in doing these 0.06 kilometers
It took 00:05:04 (5 seconds and 4 frames). To take those 4 frames to seconds we have to remember that the camera films at 30 frames per second, then:
4/30=0.13 + 5=5.13 seconds took 0.06 km. To calculate how many km per hour the bird goes we have to do:
5.13 seconds__________ 0.06 km
3600 seconds (1 hour) __________ (3600 X 0.06) / 5.13=42 km/h 42 km/h (26 mph) gives us the result.
Medium birds have a speed of between 30 and 50 km/h (for example seagulls). Let’s see and calculate the speed of the UFO. It should be clarified that the UFO was recorded when the drone was 360 meters high, therefore, the higher an observer (in this case the drone) has a better perspective of everything below it.
