Today we test the Suzuki SX4 S-Cross with 1.6-liter 120 hp gasoline engine. 5-speed manual transmission. Air conditioning turned on at 22 degrees and the first stage blower. Note that the speedometer shows about 96 km/h. DriftBox shows the actual speed at 90 km/h. So we have quite a large difference between the indications of the speedometer and reality. As far as the engine speed is in 5th gear at 90 km/h, we have about 2350 rpm. For now, average fuel consumption is 5.2 liters / 100km. Before us exit at Wieliczka. We drove 10 kilometers already. Let me remind you that the difference in altitude between the start and end of the measuring section is identical. After 10 kilometers average fuel consumption at 90 km/h is 5.2 l /100km. Today, a small change, because I decided to measure the average fuel consumption at 140 km/h. For now, average fuel consumption is 9.4 /100km. Note that the speedometer shows over 150 km/h, while in DriftBoxie we have 140 km/h. Misrepresentation at this moment is already 10 km/h. As far as the engine speed is in 5th gear we have 3750 rpm. For 100 meters finish measurement and fuel consumption is 8.4 l/100km. Now let’s test average fuel consumption on a cold engine and the first 3 kilometers. Shortly after starting the engine average fuel consumption is 30 l/100km. After first kilometer, average fuel consumption is 11.5. After two kilometers 8.2 l/100km. After 3 kilometers trip average fuel consumption is 6.8 l/100km.
